چکیده
Background: Fibrocytes are bone marrow-derived cells, that express both hematopoietic and stromal markers. In murine collagen-induced arthritis models circulating fibrocytes have been found to home inflamed joints enhance activity. The cell has, therefore, proposed be precursor cells for the fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLS), which central in Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) pathogenesis. levels further correlated with disease progression mortality interstitial lung (ILD) identified as a new treatment target. ILD is also an extra-articular manifestation of RA (RA-ILD), leading reduced diffusion capacity increased mortality. Objectives: To correlate level peripheral blood, synovial tissue, vitro culture changes activity, imaging, pulmonary function. Methods: Twenty patients early (ERA) 20 longstanding (LRA) were enrolled six months prospective study. Sixteen undergoing wrist arthroscopy healthy controls. underwent function tests, ultrasound, ultrasound-guided needle biopsy same wrist, at baseline months. Wrist magnetic resonance imaging was performed (all) (ERA). Circulating measured by flow cytometry, number monocytes differentiated fibrocytes, biopsies counting histological sections. Results: Fibrocyte did not decline during trial despite effective treatment. primarily located around vessels subintimal area synovium (Figure 1A 1B, marked arrows). ERA group, synovitis assessed ultrasound moderate strongly respectively increase fibrocyte levels. Increased MRI moderately numbers cultured fibrocytes. Absolute overall weakly negatively forced ventilatory 1C 1D). Conclusion: Our findings point key mediators pathogenesis, possible pathogenic link between process affection. Studies needed investigate if therapies targeting differentiation/migration could path forward RA/RA-ILD Disclosure Interests: None declared

Comparative Measurement of Rheumatoid Factor in Serum and Synovial Fluid of Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients by ELISA and Latex-Agglutination Test
Rheumatoid factors (RF) are autoantibodies with specificity for the Fc portion of human IgG. Production of RF is a characteristic feature of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and is detectable in high titer in about 90% of these patients. In this study, we measured total IgM, IgA, IgMRF and IgARF in serum and synovial fluid of 45 RA patients by ELISA and the results were compared with those obtained b...

We presented a female patient with RA complaining of progressive pain, swelling, and crepitation of the knee joints that was diagnosed with bilateral synovial chondromatosis (SC) of both knees. Radiographies revealed characteristic findings of SC including multiple calcified multifaceted loose bodies within both knees. Removal of cartilaginous segments as well as total synovectomy was performed...
متن کاملRheumatoid Arthritis: Early diagnosis and treatment outcomes
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an inflammatory progressive disease which in the absence of appropriate treatment can lead to joint destruction and disability. Prognosis of RA may be predicted based on the presence of some clinical and laboratory evidences.New criteria for classification of RA provides opportunity for earlier treatment. Initiation of treatment particularly by combination of DMARDs...

OBJECTIVES To validate 99mTc-labeled arginylglycylaspartic acid (99mTc-3PRGD2) scintigraphy as a means to image synovial neoangiogenesis in joints afflicted by rheumatoid arthritis and to investigate its potential in the early detection and management of rheumatoid arthritis. METHODS Rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis were generated in Sprague Dawley rats by type II collagen immunization...
